Stage 07 - Water: SEVEN ELEMENTS – The Path

The last stage leads from Gams to Wildalpen and is dominated by the element of water and the process of sensing. The question “What thoughts bubble up inside me and give me strength for my future?” accompanies us like a source of inner renewal. The Bible quote “Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.” (Prov. 4:23) points to the inner source of strength that lies within us. Thus, the 7th stage is not the end, but the beginning of a path that leads beyond the SEVEN ELEMENTS – the spiritual long-distance hiking trail in the Styrian Eisenwurzen Nature and Geopark – YOUR PATH.

This project is supported by the Interreg Danube Region Program, co-financed by the European Union.
The final stage of the SEVEN ELEMENTS spiritual long-distance hiking trail – the trail leads from Gams via Hinterwildalpen to Wildalpen and once again combines everything that makes long-distance hiking so special. Gentle ascents through forests and alpine pastures alternate with open cultivated areas, and “Auf der Goss” invites you to linger at a place with a wayside shrine. In Hinterwildalpen, the freely accessible forest pool invites you to take a refreshing break, and upon arrival in Wildalpen, we pass the HochQuellenWasser Museum, which tells the story of the Second Vienna Mountain Spring Water Pipeline. The pilgrimage church of St. Barbara in the center of Wildalpen provides an atmospheric conclusion to a total of 126 kilometers through the Styrian Eisenwurzen Nature and Geopark.
