Cowbells and harmonica

When the instruments are unpacked on the Zeiringeralm, no bench remains free from the swing. The view of the Gesaeuse mountains, the good food and friendly hospitality make the Zeiringeralm what it is, a place of joy and calmness.

On the tracks of the Kupferweg

The mountain pasture is situated at 1120 meters above sea level and was the last instance of the legendary Copper Trail. From about 3,500 years ago until the late 19th century, copper and coal were mined in the Paradeis tunnel in the Hinterradmer and transported out on foot. At that time, the Zeiringeralm was a so-called "Hebalm", i.e. a supply base for all those transport people who had to drag themselves over rough and smooth, through wind and weather. Whether the food served on the Zeiringeralm at that time was as tasty as it is today is not known. One thing is certain, the homemade and regional delicacies taste especially good on this alpine pasture nowadays. Johnsbacher Almenrunde If you are less interested in a historical hiking experience and more in a leisurely tour with national park flair, you should head for the Zeiringeralm via the

Johnsbacher mountain loop trail

From the Ebnerkreuzung parking lot, you can reach it via the Kölblalm, Ebneralm and Huberalm through the rock gate and Teufelsklamm gorge on a wide forest path, a hike with many small highlights and definitely something for the whole family.
