The route first heads east and immediately through the underpass beneath the B145. It continues along a natural meadow path towards the Salza reservoir.
Passing the Hotel Optimamed Gesundheitsresort Bad Mitterndorf (Heilbrunn thermal spa), the route runs along the Krunglbach stream. A shady forest path offers perfect conditions for running training or a relaxed endurance run in nature. After the reservoir, the return route leads along the Salza and via Neuhofen-West back to Bad Mitterndorf.
