Starting at the "Pötschenhöhe" we choose the path number 693 in direction to the "Hohen Sarstein", which we leave already after about 500 meters in order to reach the Höheralm. Then along the northside of the "Sommersbergkogel" and further the "Ischlkogel" we head into the direction of the Alpengarten, which is a nice attraction in the middle of the unique landscape of the region.

Just before this a steep path makes you cross the main road. Pay attention to the high  volume of traffic! After that a small road leads to the river Lupitschbach. At the next possibility we take he taramac road up to the so called "Rambühel" which will turn into a graveld road again by reaching the forest. From then on there is a turn to the left which brings you to the mentioned castle ruin.

Now you shall enjoy the beauty of the region Ausseerland Salzkammergut!

Riding on authorized forest roads and paths is permitted from 8:30 am until 2 hours before dusk. Of course, game feeding areas and their immediate surroundings may not be entered. High stands are to be avoided, otherwise only to be passed at a walk.

In winter, riding on uncleared paths is not permitted.
