Wildfeld - Stadlstein

Very beautiful mountain tour in the Eisenerzer Ramsau with two two-thousand-meter peaks, the Wildfeld and the Stadelstein. Starting point is the parking lot behind the Pichlerhof Inn. The hiking tour leads to the Teichenegg over the Wildfeld - where marmots can be observed. Continue to Stadlstein - Hochalm and return to Gasthof Pichlerhof. The breathtaking mountain tour is located in the ERZBERG LEOBEN region.
From the parking lot it goes first along a forest road (trail no. 679), after about 20 minutes you reach the Lasitzen hut, shortly thereafter the path leads into the forest where another small iron bridge is crossed.

From here it goes then quite steeply uphill until after about 1 1/2 hours the Teicheneggalm is reached. At the Teicheneggalm, on summer weekends, the dairyman is with his animals and perhaps he also has a cool beer in his well.

From here we continue to Wildfeld, the first part of the trail is still in the forest, but after the tree line you already have the first great views of the surrounding mountains. Arrived at the Teicheneggsattel, trail No. 673 leads over partly steep alpine meadows and scree paths to the Wildfeld.

From the Wildfeld, the trail passes under the Speikkogel to the Stadelstein, the last part of the trail is somewhat rocky. From the summit of Stadelstein you have a wonderful panoramic view over the Eisenerzer Alps, from Hochkogel and Kaiserschild, further the Hochblaser, Pfaffenstein, Eisenerzer Reichenstein,....!

The descent from the summit is the same, then it goes down to the Ochsenboden and further to the Hochalm. Also on the Hochalm are three huts, here you can fortify yourself on weekends and holidays, then it goes down to the parking lot via a well-marked path.

As an alternative for the descent you could also climb the Schwarzenstein (1953m), for this you follow at the foot of the Stadelstein the path No. 673 in the direction of Hochtörl - Hohe Lins, the path passes below the Stadelstein, at a fork you go left (attention not marked) to the Schwarzenstein, also from here a path leads down to the Hochalm (very steep).

More information

On the B115 in the direction of Eisenerz and in Eisenerz follow the turnoff to the Eisenerzer Ramsau. About 200 meters after the Gasthof Pichlerhof there are enough parking spaces.
At the parking lot is a large panoramic panel where the tour Wildfeld Stadlstein is well described.

First it goes along the forest road to an iron bridge, which you cross and after about 1 1/2 you reach the Teicheneggalm. From here you continue in a southeasterly direction to Wildfeld. After 3 to 4 hours you have reached the summit - the Stadlstein.

The descent leads via the Hochalm back to the inn Pichlerhof.

Perhaps you will find mushrooms and huckleberries on the ascent to Teichenegg.
The journey by public transport is difficult.
