Sillweger Aussichtswarte von Rattenberg

We start directly at the Hotel Restaurant Perschler (1), 702 m, and walk towards the center of Rattenberg. After 300 meters we turn left, following the new red-white-red markings. Pass the houses and continue along a paved path across meadows and farmland to Sillweg. At the crossroads, turn right, slightly uphill through Sillweg (2), 736 m, to the signpost "Zur Sillweger Aussichtswarte". Now leave the asphalt road and follow the moderately ascending forest road until you reach the start of the hiking trail after approx. 20 minutes. Now turn right onto a narrow path that leads directly to the Sillweger Aussichtswarte (3), 959 m. After a leisurely break, we go straight back to the first junction and now hike downhill towards Fohnsdorf. We follow the path through the forest to the Trauner farmstead (4), 994 m. From here you are comfortably on a gravel road that leads into the populated area of Fohnsdorf. Follow the asphalt road for a while - always following the red-white-red markings - until you reach a crossroads where you turn right into the center of Fohnsdorf. Keep left at this crossroads and continue straight ahead on the road that leads to Sillweg (2), 736 m. In the center of Sillweg we meet the path we already know and walk back to Rattenberg.

Rattenberg is easy to reach by bus. The nearest train stations are Judenburg, Zeltweg and Knittelfeld.
