TauplitzThe four seater chairlifts Tauplitz I and II (four kilometers long) take you from Tauplitz to the Tauplitzalm (1650 meters above sea level).
The Tauplitzalm is located in the heart of Austria, in the Ausseerland Salzkammergut, and at 1,650 meters, it is the highest lake high plateau in Central Europe. It offers ideal conditions for mountain sports and nature enjoyment: well-developed hiking routes along six picturesque lakes, the Gamsblick climbing route for adventure seekers, challenging mountain tours for experienced climbers, as well as cozy walking paths for relaxed outings. The environmentally-friendly ascent with the 4-seat chairlift provides a comfortable start to the nature experience.
The plateau impresses with its wide panorama, clear mountain air, and a sense of freedom. Surrounded by blooming alpine meadows, where gentian, alpine rose, globeflowers, stone carnations, or sneezeweed can be found depending on the season. In autumn, golden larch slopes bathe the landscape in warm light.
Especially impressive is the high plateau during the 6-Lakes Hike. An unforgettable nature experience amidst alpine beauty.
