The approach is available, among other routes, from the Gasthaus Murbodenhüttl via a family-friendly hiking trail and takes about an hour. Along the way, the picturesque Zimitz Waterfall provides a scenic highlight.
The newly renovated, cozy alpine hut Almhütte offers simple regional snack specialties and beverages on sunny days – served on a sunny terrace with an unobstructed view of the Tote Gebirge. Outdoor seating invites guests to rest. The hut is open in the summer in July and August; exact times vary depending on the weather.
The Seidlhütte also serves as a starting point for further hikes into the high plateau of the Totes Gebirge. There are no tourist facilities nearby, which adds to the special charm of this nature-friendly resting place.
