The rustic Hechl Cabin is located in the Gnanitz, nine kilometers away from the town Tauplitz.
Gnanitz can be reached via various hiking trails. If comfort is a priority, you can drive to the parking lot and take a stroll along a 3.8-kilometer forest road to the Hechl Cabin.
The hut hostess "Vevi" is available from Easter to October, Thursday to Sunday from 11:00 AM at the Alm and treats the guests with delicacies from the region. Particularly, the Alm coffee and the homemade pastries are worth a visit. At the Hechl Hut, grilling evenings can be booked for birthday celebrations or outings.
