Take your time to enjoy the oldest alpine garden in Styria.
You don't necessarily have to climb the mountains to admire the full splendour of the alpine flowers. The Bad Aussee Alpine Garden houses over 2.000 species of alpine plants, perennials and woody plants as well as other plant rarities from all over the world on 12,000 square metres.
Medicinal plants, aromatic herbs, fragrant plants, orchids and much more are presented in specially constructed theme gardens. And all this at an altitude of about 800 metres above sea level, easily accessible by car.
From October to April, the garden can be visited free of charge.
