The Salinen Music Band Altaussee will perform the children's opera “When Lisa Found Her Smile Again” on Sunday, December 7, 2025, at 5:00 PM in the Altaussee Spa Park.
For this, a unique libretto was written by the former ballet dancer of the Vienna State Opera and director of the Tanzatelier Ausseerland as well as theater maker, Michael Pinnisch.
Lisa (Amelie Utassy), a girl from the beautiful place Altaussee, lives happily with her family in the quaint community of Loser. Through various circumstances, Lisa is often alone at home, causing her smile to vanish and her to become very sad. One day, the good fairy “Symphonia from the Melody Forest” (Katharina Oberhauser) appears to her and takes Lisa on a journey through the forest and the village to find Lisa's smile again. Along the way, they meet animals in the forest, dwarfs, and fairies, but also the spinning wheel circle at the Berndl Inn or the mountain miners.
The narrator of this story is Hans Loitzl, while the apprentice watchman is portrayed by Franz Grieshofer. The texts are by Julia Gaiswinkler. This staged performance is musically realized by the Salinenmusic Altaussee under the direction of Andreas Langanger, who specially composed the music for this work!
Other participants include the students of the Tanzatelier Ausseerland ballet school, students from the Altaussee elementary school, members of the Bühne Altaussee, the miners' dancers from the Altaussee salt mining, the spinning wheel circle Altaussee, as well as the Wigelbeyer trio & Eva Fischer (guitar). These approximately 100 performers will bring the nearly 70-minute piece to life.
We warmly invite all locals, second home owners, and guests of the Ausseerland and look forward to many visitors! Especially many children!
Good luck!
Alternative date in case of bad weather: Saturday, December 13, 2025.
