About us

The Vulcano ham factory is an experience for the senses. Children learn about animal farming in line with animal welfare, the production of ham and the conscious handling of food. A visit to the stables is also on the programme. And at the end of the tour, numerous delicacies are waiting to be tasted - let’s go.

Vulcano Ursprung - the ham experience for every age group

A huge stainless steel ham leads the way into the ham world of "Vulcano Ursprung" in Auersbach near Feldbach. The visitor is greeted by the piglet Vulcana.

The ham experts answer all the questions of the tour participants. These include: What do you have to pay attention to when producing ham? Or: What ripening process does a ham go through? The focus is always on the Vulcano pigs. A look into the stables is of course also part of the tour.

Culinary highlight: At the end there is a small snack, where the delicacies from the ham factory can of course be tasted.

Here you can pet and feed the piglets yourself - a special experience.
