Steirischer Bodensee Road Bike Loop
The Steirischer Bodensee Road Bike Loop is a diverse route for ambitious road bike and gravel bike riders. Covering approximately 55 kilometers and 1,140 meters of elevation gain, it offers a truly impressive experience. This route takes you through picturesque landscapes and is considered a hidden gem of the region.
The tour starts at the Planai valley station in Schladming and follows the Untere Klaus to Haus im Ennstal. Passing the Hauser Kaibling valley station, the route continues to Ruperting, where the climb to the Steirischer Bodensee begins. After a short break at the scenic mountain lake, a fast descent leads down to Aich.
In Aich, the route crosses the Enns River, continues to Weißenbach, and climbs via Rößing to Ramsau am Dachstein. From there, a rapid descent leads down to Pichl.
Passing Pichl Lake, the route follows the Enns River, transitions onto a gravel road, and turns left over the Enns bridge. A short push section under the B320 ensures a safe crossing before reaching the Hochstraße, offering stunning panoramic views. The final section leads back to Schladming.
