When the hoods have long been distributed and the vanities satisfied, there is still one thing left as a task: to be a host and ambassador of what we consider good food in Styria. 6 times different, 6 times following the same passion.
Namesake Luis Thaller does this just below the 47th parallel in Anger near Weiz, the other five have made themselves comfortable a bit further south. Some like it experimental, others tradition-conscious. In any case, Styrian cuisine south of the 47th parallel loves variety, and no matter who or what you choose, all 6 toque chefs can be reached from the Styrian capital within an hour. So good cuisine is very close and the world of "rare styrian cuisine" even more so.
In 2016, six heads of character tied a ribbon and set out with each other, closely intertwined in their values,
to reflect, define and document the rare and rarest of Styrian cuisine.
Since then, Gerhard Fuchs, Harald Irka, Luis Thaller, Thomas Riederer, Manuel Liepert and Norbert Thaller have been thinking in the plural as the 47° rare Styrian cuisine association in a network with extraordinary producers and partners, simultaneously tearing off any uniformity and sending uniform tastes to hell.
They come together as a group, form up, re-form if necessary, and break up in order to come together again.
