Child and family friendly restaurants

Styrian hospitality starts with the youngest of us! To ensure that children feel at home in the local establishments, the restaurants are put through their paces by young testers. You can enjoy your stay with your family without worry.

Families with children know what is important. For example, highchairs and nappy-changing facilities or a separate children's menu with portions suitable for children and a corresponding price difference. Equally important is the range of games and entertainment that the innkeepers offer their little guests.

Therefore, the Kinderbüro (Children's Office – the lobby for people up to 14), in cooperation with the Department of Education, Society, Health and Care, the Department of Tourism and the WKO, has made it its task to inspect restaurants. This is not done by individual adult testers, but by means of test families who visit the establishments unannounced. A self-assessment by the hosts is also included.

Establishments that have been awarded the title "Child and Family Friendly Restaurants" prove every day that they have rightly earned this title and are happy to receive visitors with many children.
