Quellenwege - Spring trail

St. Radegund bei Graz

Meditate – hike along 22 architecturally artistic springs on the Sankt Radegunder Quellenwege.

Due to the heavy rainfall in June 2024, walking on the paths is at your own risk!

The landscape in the north of the Graz Basin is dominated by the summit of the Schöckl. The imposing mountain ridge offers many opportunities for sporting activities, culinary highlights and breathtaking views over the Styrian capital. But you don't necessarily have to climb the mountain to experience nature in a special way.

There are three varied hiking trails in the forests around the spa town of Sankt Radegund where you can explore the healing power of nature. They connect the name-giving springs of the Sankt Radegund spring trails over a distance of more than seventeen kilometers. The origins of the twenty-two artistically designed springs date back to the first half of the 19th century. At that time, the healing effects of the water from the Schöckl had already been recognized and the first spa was built. Today they bear the names of their founders. These include aristocrats, spa doctors and international spa guests. The many guests from Hungary gave the Hungarian circuit its name. It leads from the Kurhaus in the center of Sankt Radegund to the Doktorteich and on to the Szilystein.

Today, the springs can be explored all year round on the Hubertus circuit, the Calvary circuit and the Hungarian circuit as a historical hike, a meditation trail or a healing trail. With a walking time of approx. 30 minutes to 3.5 hours, the three signposted circuits offer the perfect tour for everyone on the southern slope of Graz's local mountain.
