Rediscover the world of antiquity.
The museum and collections of the Institute of Antiquity at the University of Graz offer a unique access to the world of antiquity, both on-site and digitally. The Archaeological Museum of the Institute showcases plaster casts and originals of ancient artworks, providing insight into the art and cultural history of antiquity. A special highlight is the Virtual Museum, developed as part of the DiTAH project in collaboration with the Center for Information Modeling (ZIM). This digital offering allows for 24/7 online exploration of the collections. Through high-resolution 3D models and detailed information, ancient objects are made accessible to the public. The museum is a vibrant place of research and teaching, where students are actively involved in the presentation and documentation of ancient cultural assets. Visitors can immerse themselves in the fascinating world of antiquity and discover the treasures of bygone eras.
