  • There we walk a piece on the old railroad road, which now also serves as a bike path
  • Over an old viaduct we go to the first ascent in direction Galgenwald
  • On the way there are always interesting boards about the history of Birkfeld or the Edlseers
  • We continue in Waisenegg in the direction of the Tiefengraber family - there we have to cross the road
  • From there we walk through a piece of forest back to the old railroad road of the Feistritztalbahn/R8 cycle path
  • After the 6th station we reach the other bank of the Feistritz via a bridge
  • There we have the opportunity to fortify ourselves with local dishes
  • Now we cross the B72 and continue on to the most challenging ascent of the hiking trail
  • Over a small pasture we walk in the direction of the old Strallegger path
  • Now we are in Strallegg and we go back towards the old mill in the direction of Gschaid
  • On the way we pass by the wagon ranch of the Mosbacher family, where we can also refresh ourselves
  • Afterwards we continue through a beautiful piece of forest to the old Stadlhofer mill
  • Over a rustic wooden bridge we reach the village Gschaid
  • A comfortable ascent now leads us past the family hammer vulgo Stadlhofer
  • When we pass through a piece of forest and cross the small brook, we are on the last hill of the Hoamat hiking trail
  • After the forest we come shortly before the descent to a meadow
  • Now the descent begins over a forest path - here is the last station of the Edlseer Hoamatweg
  • When we reach the valley, we hike along the Feistritz river
  • At the crossing of the Miesenbach we have reached the store Hoamat-Tracht
  • From here we are only a few minutes walk from the starting point.
