Short hiking tour through the forest to the alpine pastures of Bachlalm - The home of the marmots.
The alpine meadow below the Bachlalm is home to the cute marmots. The little animals are used to humans and can be fed with carrots and seeds. Please do NOT feed the animals with sweets. Be aware that the animals are wild and as rodents they can bite well. In order not to frighten them, you should aproach them very carefully.

From the parking lot, cross the road in the direction of the bus stop and follow the asphalt road uphill to the right. After about 50 minutes you will reach the alpine meadows. On the left side is the Schaidlalm (not staffed) and on the right side the meadow where the marmots live. Continue along the road until you reach the fork, turn left and after 300 meters you will reach the Bachlalm.
