Trans national park tour

Admont

Past centuries-old beech forests, wild water and sunlit peaks - the Trans National Park connects the Kalkalpen National Park with the Gesäuse National Park. Here, nature lovers and sports enthusiasts alike get their money's worth.

On a total length of about 250 kilometres and roughly 7000 metres of altitude, the cyclist's heart beats faster - and not only during the mountain stages. The breathtaking views, tasty refreshment stops and clean mountain streams also raise your pulse and spirits. With a bit of luck, you may spot lynxes, golden eagles or the wonderfully iridescent blue Alpine longhorn beetle along the way - species that today almost only exist in the protected space of a national park. A complete Trans National Park round trip can be completed in seven days.

Those who prefer a more leisurely pace should explore the Trans National Park in the form of day tours. The routes are very well signposted and suitable for both mountain bikes and e-bikes.

Summer resort tip: After a tour, growling stomachs will look forward to the Gasthof Stiegenwirt. It prepares delicious delicacies with local ingredients from the Gesäuse National Park Alpine region. The trout and char from the Ybbstal region are particularly popular with guests.
