The "Bacherleitn Lift" of the Sports Community Weißenbach, located in the center of Weißenbach bei Liezen, was built in 1960.
Initially, it served as a means of transport for sledding on the famous artistic toboggan run, well-known far beyond the borders of Austria. In 1967, the original lift was replaced by a longer, significantly more powerful ski lift, and from then on it was reserved for skiing. Thus, it represents a great enhancement for Weißenbach and Liezen, as well as for the surrounding communities of Lassing and Wörschach, for practicing the winter sports of skiing and snowboarding. The floodlight system, which has existed since the beginning, was completely renovated in 2003 and offers the possibility of night skiing.
