Golfing in nature

"The great thing about this game is that even the bad days are beautiful," Bill Clinton once enthused about golf, and many a golfer would agree with him. Because golf is not just for the rich and ambitious, but especially for those who like to spend their time in the fresh air. The Golf- und Landclub Ennstal has more to offer in terms of nature than others of its kind. The 18-hole course is the only golf course in Europe to be located in a Natura 2000 area. Here, nature conservation is a priority, numerous biotopes line the course, and here the golf ball flies next to the corncrake or the flat-bellied dragonfly.

Still a golf course or already paradise?

Irises, daffodils and orchids line individual areas of the course in spring and summer in a completely natural way - landscape architects couldn't have done it better. Although the resort is located in the midst of the breathtaking Ennstal mountain landscape, the game here is played on the flat. The view of the striking Grimming mountain spurs you on, makes you take a deep breath before you swing and seems to encourage many a player to achieve top performance. Basically, the course is compact and the distances between the holes are moderate. There is a timing range, a pitching facility, a 3-hole short course, a chipping green and a putting green.

And much more

In addition to the everyday golf activities, the GLC regularly organises tournaments, gives courses for beginners and advanced players or golf camps for children between 7 and 14 years of age. There is free wi-fi access in the clubhouse, and thanks to the award: Natura 2000, there is a very interesting and informative theme trail.
