- Gasthof Zeiser
In our inn you will find yourself in the sixth oldest building in Admont. And we are talking about the year 1471, when it was first mentioned. A house with tradition, a kitchen that is entirely designed for home cooking and is run as a family business.
The family business run by Peter and Birgit Zeiser is known for one thing in particular: The Styrian farmer's buffet every Wednesday in July and August and on various occasions. Fried chicken, Gselchtes, roast pork, black pudding gröstl, sauerkraut and pumpkin vegetables are all part of the buffet. The desserts are also not to be sneezed at. Host Peter is happy to help himself to these, because he says with a laugh: "As a meat chopper you like to eat pastry. And he adds: "The best thing for me is Günter's ice cream. Two people have found each other. Mr Planitzer gets his beloved Blutwurstgröstl from Zeiser and Peter gets a lump of marzipan in return. How practical, this neighbourhood!
Friendship and partnership
Another big hit at the Zeiser is the so-called "Stoa meal" for six or more people, where you can unpack your own barbecue skills thanks to the hot stone at the table. When it comes to wine, Peter and Birgit maintain a good relationship with the ex-Admonter Narat-Zitz from Leutschach. And more recently, Peter has also been focusing on the National Park partnership. Many of the partners are good friends and the idea of not wanting to be "at the back of the pack" has led to their candidacy. In any case, it is easy for the Zeiser to always be up to date with the latest National Park brochures, because once you have hopped across the street you can quickly get a refill at the information office.
