Austria's first walk-in ecological footprint is located in the middle of the Weidendom adventure centre. In a humorous way and without pointing fingers, you can explore and trace your personal lifestyle in a labyrinth of beech hedges. Questions "lurk" at various crossroads, leading you into a dead end if you choose the wrong answers.
The ecological footprint in Austria is three times as large as it should be globally, and so questions automatically arise as to what traces we leave behind on this earth? In order to broaden and deepen the experiences gained in the labyrinth, National Park Rangers offer supervised, fee-based programmes - which teach guests in a playful and exciting way how to reduce their own ecological footprint and protect the environment!
The ecological footprint is freely accessible at all times, weather permitting.
