The museum is spread out over four levels, which together will take you on a journey through time! Once you’re there, it soon it becomes clear: a lot of things revolve around wood in the Gesäuse. Find out about how wood was transported and skidded from the forests or what the world of a lumberjack, rafter or charcoal burner looked like back then. Interesting fact: rafting in its original sense meant transporting logs down a river.
