The musician Johannes Holzinger from Liezen returns to his hometown - and presents two acts in one evening at the Old Cinema, showcasing the full range of his artistic work: once with his solo project Jo Nara, and once as the duo Vievo.
Jo Nara
In mid-October, the debut album will be released, in which Austrian dialect and English storytelling blend with warm, melancholic alternative pop. Jo Nara's songs deal with closeness and letting go, with upheaval and memory. Interpersonal matters, indeed - but not heavy, rather human. Gentle, profound, but never over-the-top. What stands out immediately is the vocals. The harmonies in Jo Nara are not a gimmick but a part of his musical DNA. Vocals are layered, merged, and carried - like a choir in the fog. Those who listen closely will feel the attention to detail in every arrangement. Musically, Jo Nara moves somewhere between the early poetry of Coldplay, the songwriting sophistication of Billy Joel, and the musical depth of Sophie Hunger. With his band, Jo Nara now brings this intimate, detail-loving music to the stage live for the first time - approachable, honest, and full of atmosphere.
Duo Vievo
The evening will first be opened by Holzinger's second project named Duo Vievo: Together with guitarist Ben Enzon, the duo celebrates music from Brazil, France, Portugal, and beyond - giving it their own personal touch. In an intimate, minimalist setting, sound worlds are created that invite both dancing, dreaming, and smiling. For fans of refined elevator music! Thus, Johannes Holzinger shows at the Old Cinema what defines him as an artist: versatility, authenticity, and a love for music in all its facets; from the ease of world music to profound songwriting.
