The Filialkirche Seiz stands on a hill north of the village of Seiz in the market town of Kammern im Liesingtal in the district of Leoben in Styria.
Around the year 1000, the first church was built in "Chamere", which at that time was dedicated to St. John the Baptist. The oldest remnant of this church is the present sacristy and the frescoes now exposed show us the art and beliefs of the people around the year 1000.
The interior of the church is closed almost all year round, except on special occasions! However, the covered "outside aisle" may of course be entered.
