HWW-Bicycle route: Schäffern - Laglmühle - Zöbern - Guggendorf (circular trail)
This HWW cycle route is part of the Wechselland Historical Long-Distance Hiking Trail (HWW), which tells the story of Wechselland along more than 100 HWW stations. More information can be found at www.wechsel-wandern.at.
This HWW cycle route (circular cycle route) leads from Schäffern via Laglmühle and Ziegersberg to Zöbern and from there via Guggendorf back to Schäffern. Along the HWW cycle route you come to the Laglmühle HWW station, where you can learn that the Croats marched through Wechselland during the 1848 revolution.

Arrival by car
Take the Schäffern exit from the A2.
The tour is not signposted throughout. Route guidance with app recommended.
- The tour starts in the center of Schäffern
- Continue to the Laglmühle mill.
- From Zöbern the route leads to Guggendorf.
- The route ends with the return journey to Schäffern.
We recommend a visit to the Bärnegg ruins. This is located close to the cycle tour.
Or after the ride, take a walk to the Kreuzbühel Chapel in Schäffern.
There is a parking lot next to the
church in Schäffern.
