HWW-Bicycle route: Aspang - Mönichkirchen - Tauchen/Wechsel - Schäffern (circular trail)

This HWW cycle route is part of the Wechselland Historical Long-Distance Hiking Trail (HWW), which tells the story of Wechselland along more than 100 HWW stations. More information can be found at www.wechsel-wandern.at.

This HWW cycle route (circular cycle route) leads from Aspang via Mönichkirchen, Tauchen and Schäffern back to Aspang. Along the way, you pass the HWW station Wetterkreuze/1000-year-old oak tree, where you can learn about the historical forestation of the Wechselland and the dangerous clearing work.

Arrival by car

Drive along the A2 highway to the Zöbern exit.
Then follow the signs to Aspang.

The tour is not signposted throughout. Route guidance with app recommended.

For local transportation we recommend the SAM-Sammeltaxi Oststeiermark.
