Coming from Judenburg via Unzmarkt to Scheifling. Turn right here and drive to Murau. In Katsch an der Mur keep right againd and drive along the road to the Sölkpass.

Coming from Tamsweg via Ranten (or Stadl an der Mur) keep left towards Schöder. After Schöder turn left and drive the road to the Sölkpass.

At the parking lot at the top of the Sölkpass, follow the trail no. 9 in a northerly direction. Initially, follow the narrow trail until you reach the alpine pasture area. Then keep to the right and follow the crest of the mountain peak to the left. Over the constantly rising ridge you go up the narrow serpentines and finally arrive at the summit after the last steep section. Enjoy the impressive view over the Alps, into the Enns and Mur valleys, to the Zwiefler lakes and the Kaltenbach lakes.

The descent follows the ascent path.
