Murau is a nice shopping town with a lot of charisma in the beautiful, renovated old town. The beautiful house facades in different architectural styles give the main square and the alleys leading to it a southern flair. The city of Murau shines with various cultural attractions all year round. Numerous museums, exhibitions, music and theater performances, cultural events in the town hall, as well as the annual operetta plays make Murau a cultural center in the upper Mur valley.

Coming from Judenburg via Unzmarkt to Scheifling. Turn right here towards Murau.

Coming from Murau via Ranten (or Stadl an der Mur), always drive straight to Murau.

Starting from the information pavilion, follow the yellow signs through the old town, past historic city gates and buildings. The way back is via the beautiful Mur promenade.
