Brühlweg, Hartberg

On the way to the landmark of Hartberg's old town and up the 99 steps to the dream view

The Ringkogel is Hartberg's local mountain and the Ringwarte is the town's landmark. Both point out that we are in Celtic country, but the Romans were not far away either. With this tour you will explore their mysterious history.

There are 99 steps up the watchtower. Before you descend back into the old town, you should definitely climb the Ringwarte. The landmark of Hartberg is almost 110 years old and was built in 1906. There is so much to see at the top that you will have to look for a long time: Ah, the Hartberg region looks good!

Opening hours Ringwarte:

April - October all day (closed on Mondays and Tuesdays), closed in bad weather.

Hartberg, main square

  • Start at the main square in Hartberg. You have three options to get to the Ringkogel on foot: via the Brühlweg, the Laternderlweg or the Steinere Stiege.
  • The tour "Laternderlweg to the Ringkogel" leads you through forests and meadows past numerous refreshment stops.
  • The "Brühlweg" tour to the Ringkogel leads you along the Brühlbach up to the town's landmark. (starting quite steeply in the forest, you stroll through relatively level woods and meadows in between, finally the steeper ascent again to the finish).
  • The "Steinerne Stiege" tour offers a wonderful view over the whole of Hartberg on many sections.
