Hohenwart, Eiskarspitz, Glattjoch

This is a difficult hike that should not be underestimated.
Sure-footed mountaineers who have no fear of heights can take a circular route via Eiskar Spitze and Glattjoch to the Schöttlalm. Very long tour, as unfortunately about 2 hours of gravel path have to be covered, but a mountain tour in a lonely, beautiful landscape and highly recommended.

From the Schöttlkapelle car park, almost level at the end of the valley to the Schöttljagdhaus (1456 m). There on the still wide path (note: there is no fork in the path over the streamDon't miss - wooden signpost "Hohenwart" "Fischsee"!), climbing moderately in the forest to the NE to the Pemlerhütte and further in the now open area past the Fischsee on the still wide path below the Pölseck Joch. Here the marked path from the Pusterwalder side joins our path. It zigzags steeply but easily to the edge of the summit plateau, from where you walk over to the summit cross. The descent takes place to the west down into a wide saddle and with a short climb up to the Eiskarspitze. From this steeply down into another saddle and now on a small path that requires sure-footedness, along the entire ridge following path no. 10 to the Glattjoch. From here you follow the marking no. 936 until you reach a wide karst hollow and climb along the Weber Bach down to the Schöttljagdhaus, from where you return along the well-known gravel road out of the valley to the parking lot at the Schöttlkapelle.
Due to the length and duration, a certain level of fitness and endurance is required.
