Interesting museum for all hikers and friends of the "father of long-distance hikers" Carl Hermann
The museum is located in the inner courtyard of the oldest house in Eibiswald, the Lerchhaus, and comprises 3 focal points: 1) long-distance hiking, 2) Carl Hermann - the founder and sculptor of long-distance hiking, 3) Carl Hermann portrait - video film screening. Eibiswald as a crossing point of the N-S- and the O-W-Weitwanderweg is predestined for this topic. Based on the Hermann collection, the history of the development of long-distance hiking, as well as the regional reference to this topic will be elaborated.
