The Grünangerhütte is a popular hiking destination - in summer as well as in winter!
The Grünangerhütte is located in the “hinterland” of the Weinebene leisure area, which is considered a family ski and snowboard paradise. Both the hut and its surroundings are particularly suitable for children and families. Paths and approaches can be used with baby carriages. Mountain bikers are also out and about in the area, especially on the Großer Speikkogel. In the nature reserve around the hut, flower lovers will come across the Gießbach Gemswurz, a plant that only grows on the Koralpe. The hut lies in a hollow and is therefore largely sheltered from the wind, even when it is really stormy further up on the Hochalm, around the Loskogel and the Steinmandl. Children can also run around the hut out of the wind.
