Bioweingut Warga-Hack

St. Andrä-Höch

Jasmin and Rainer Hack know about the uniqueness of their vineyards in Sausal, a geological specialty in southern Styria. Phyllitic slate, which is up to 350 million years old, can only be found here. Exclusively manual work, biodynamic Demeter circular economy and high biodiversity in the vineyards, with their vines over 40 years old, characterize the winery.

The extremely steep slate sites in Kitzeck and on Demmerkogel, half of which are terraced, give the Rieslings, Sauvignon Blancs and Burgundies from the Römerstrasse, Pistor and Wilhelmshöhe vineyards a distinctive, smoky minerality.
