Tonnerhütte – Mühlner Sattel – Lindersee (Sabathyhütte) - Tonnerhütte

Closed
Beautiful, worthwhile ski tour, which is made much easier by the lift aid.
Recommended for ski touring beginners. The ski tour is safe from avalanches and snow. The ascent takes place via the “Südwestrinne” or via the “Winter Marking” to the Mühlner Sattel. The picturesque view will make up for the difficult climb!

From Italy/Slovenia or from Klagenfurt on the Wörthersee motorway A2 to Klagenfurt, the federal highway B317 to St. Marein b. Neumarkt, continue on the B92 to Mühlen.

The ascent takes place via the “Südwestrinne” or via the “Winter Marking” to the Mühlner Sattel.

From the Tonnerhütte you follow the slope to the mountain station d. Ski lift and from there continue to Herterhöhe. Here you choose one of the two ascent options and finally reach the “Mühlner Sattel”. After a short climb towards the east, you can enter the rocky, steep cirque and enjoy the mostly hard but easy-grip descent to Lindersee (2051m).

Variant: Enthusiastic ski tourers extend the descent via the “Linderhütte” to the Sabathyhütte and thus have a total of more than 1500m of descents on the “sun” and “shady” sides of the Zirbitzkogel.

The way back – ascent and descent to the Tonnerhütte is as described above.
