Snowshoe hike on Heulantsch, Teichalm
Closed
The summit circular tour on the Teichalm and Sommeralm offers wonderful views and some places to stop for refreshments.
The Heulantsch circuit connects the Sommeralm with the Teichalm. The highlight of this beautiful alpine tour is the 1,473 m high Heutlantsch summit with its views: from the Plankogel over the Teichalm to the Hochlantsch. Several huts and inns along the way invite you to take a break.
The tour starts at the Teichalm. There is a lot to see around the Teichalmsee, including the Almenland's landmark: the wooden ox, which stands for ALMO beef production in the region. The lake also offers a wonderful alternative: an idyllic walk instead of snowshoeing! Directly at Teichalmsee, the Latschenhütte and the Almgasthof Hotel Teichwirt are a good option for a stop.

Start: Directly at Teichalmsee there is a large wooden ox, behind which is the entrance to our hiking trail: path no. 745/45
- We walk out towards “Sommeralm/Harrerhütte”
- ATTENTION: Shortly before reaching the state road, a meadow path leads down to the right over a small bridge down to the Harrerhütte on the other side of the road.
- From now on we go along the forest road and always with a view of the Mixnitzbach in the direction of “Pension-Camping Holzmeister”
- At a junction we go down to the left, cross a wooden bridge and reach the Pension-Camping Holzmeister.
- The path continues directly behind the house, at the “Moosholt” entrance (a little above the Pension-Camping Holzmeister) we take path no. 745 up.
- We reach the “Kerschbaumgatterl” and continue towards “Strosseggwirt”.
- We soon reach the "Haberlstall Alm", where we turn left onto path no. 7 off.
- The “Stoahandhütte” soon appears in the valley.
- The further path no. 7 leads along the pasture fence, we have to climb over a fence.
- After a piece of forest we climb up the alpine pasture floor before going down to the right.
- Now we take the last climb through the forest to the Heulantsch summit cross at 1,473 m above sea level.
- The path no. 7 now leads us steeply down past the pasture fences to the “Heulantsch” car park.
- A part of the path now leads along the asphalt road to the “Hotel Pierer” sign.
- There we reach the already familiar path and walk comfortably back down to Teichalmsee.
The Almenland trails for cross-country skiing start directly at Teichalmsee or the Teichalm lifts for skiing, bobsledding and sliding are right opposite.
