Lower and Upper Wildenkarsee
The hike leads from the Etrachsee via the Rudolf-Schober-Hütte to the two beautiful mountain lakes.
This is a moderately difficult hike that lasts a few hours. Arrived at the lower or upper Wildenkarsee, the tour is rewared with a breathtaking view.

Coming from Judenburg via Unzmarkt to Scheifling. Here turn right in the direction of Murau. In Murau turn right again towards Ranten and from there turn right again towards Krakau.
Coming from Tamsweg via Seetal, keep left towards Krakau.
From the parking lot of the Etrachsee, follow the marked trail 794 first along the idyllic lake, then past alpine huts and continue slightly uphill through the forest. After about two thirds of the way you cross the Grafenalm stream below the Grafenalm and hike along the stream across alpine pastures up to the Rudolf-Schober-Hütte. From the hut, you first walk briefly along the long-distance trail before branching off to the northwest to the Wildenkar lakes.
The way back stretches first on the same path in the direction of the Rudolf-Schober-Hütte, then turn right onto the trail 702 to the Schöttelhütte, continue on trail 789 to the Etrachsee.
