Via the Tamischbach to the Ennstalerhütte and the Tamischbachturm

The quiet and more solitary ascent from the north leads via the oldest hut in the Gesäuse, the Ennstallerhütte, to the summit of the "easiest 2000m peak" in the Gesäuse!
From the starting point of the Hackenschmiede into the Tamischbachtal on the marked path in the direction

Bärensattel to the Ennstalerhütte and further up to the Tamischbachturm.

From the A9 "Pyhrnautobahn" take exit 67 "Ardning" and continue on the B146 to Ober-Hall. At the roundabout turn off onto the B117 and continue via Weng im Gesäuse to St. Gallen. Before St.Gallen turn left in the direction of Grossreifling.

At the highest point on the Erbsattel you can see the Kassegg Castle on the right and a little later past the Schnabl farm and immediately afterwards the Hackenschmiede on the right.

Follow the road to the end into the valley

Our hike begins at the end of the forest road at the parking lot next to the Tamischbach.

Follow the marked path in the direction of Bärensattel to the Ennstalerhütte

Which we reach after about 2.5 hours. From here the path continues for about 1.5 hours to the Tamischbach tower.

With a walking time of 2.5 hours from the Ennstalerhütte, the trail leads west towards the Kleiner Buchstein past the Luckerten wall to the Tieflimauer, a free-standing rock wall. For the Teufelssteig via ferrata you need via ferrata and alpine equipment, difficulties A, B, 2 places C.
