Kinderwagenrundweg Sattelberg

Stroller-friendly circular path along some stations of the Sattelberg nature and environmental adventure trail.
The Sattelberg in Ramsau am Dachstein is THE "children's mountain" par excellence. The first Austrian nature and environmental adventure trail is not only exciting and interesting for kids, parents and grandparents will also be amazed. It lives up to its name and has even more to offer: the Ramsaurier Zwergerl farm (with display and game boards in toddler size) is Kali's play paradise for the youngest. It is located right next to the Sattelberg hut. From the starting point, part of the trail is a small circular trail that can also be used with a stroller. The trail has been awarded the "Austrian Hiking Seal of Quality"!

More information

Arriving from the west:
From the west you can take the Munich-Salzburg motorway, continuing on the Tauern motorway (A 10) until the Ennstal junction. From here take the Ennstal A-road (the B 320) for around 30 km into the Schladming-Dachstein region, then take the Ramsau am Dachstein turn-off.

Arriving from the north:
From the south-east take the Pyhrnautobahn motorway (A 9) to the Liezen junction and then the Ennstal A-road (B 320) into the Schladming-Dachstein region. Then take the Ramsau am Dachstein turn-off.

Follow the main road to Ramsau Kulm. Opposite from Hotel Annelies turn off right to Obere Leiten. After a S-corner make a left at the intersection towards the parking of Natur- und Umwelterlebnispfad at Obere Leiten.

From the car park in Obere Leiten, head east, past the Mountain Hostel and the Pension Concordia to the starting point of the environmental and nature trail, where Kali the Ramsaurier greets you in all his grandeur. Now continue hiking east downhill through the forest, where the part of the circular trail suitable for strollers takes you past a few stations to the Sattelberghütte. You return on the same path or along another loop suitable for strollers.
During the holiday periods of July and August, the Kali Express takes you from the Sattelberghütte back to the starting point of the hike or to the Old Mill. This is also where you will find the entrance to the Kali children's via ferrata and the Kala and Kalo youth via ferratas.
Bus route n° 960 from Schladming to Ramsau. Bus stop Ramsau Leiten Almfrieden.
