Gumpental Tour | 325

Closed
This varied loop takes you through charming alpine huts, peaceful valleys, and stunning panoramic views – showcasing one of the most beautiful corners around Haus im Ennstal. Ideal for those who want to combine scenic nature with an active outdoor experience.

This diverse circular tour starts at the valley station of the Hauser Kaibling cable car and leads via Oberhaus, Stöcklhütte, and Knapplhütt’n into the idyllic Gumpental valley. After a short stop at the Stanglalm for refreshments, the route continues on mostly flat terrain to Gumpenberg, passing Hotel Höflehner. A steep descent takes you down to Ruperting before the loop ends back in Haus im Ennstal.

Note (valid for 2025): Due to the construction of the new Senderbahn and the associated construction traffic, the Gumpental Tour is not recommended on weekdays in the summer of 2025.

New MTB Signage in Progress
The installation of the new MTB signage, which also includes updated loop numbers, is currently underway. These changes are already reflected in the new 2025 tour brochure. However, minor discrepancies may still occur on-site due to the presence of the old (green) signage. We kindly ask for your understanding.

The starting point of this scenic loop is the Hauser Kaibling cable car valley station, heading in the direction of Schladming. In the center of Haus im Ennstal, the route turns left towards Oberhaus. From there, it continues past the Stöcklhütte and the Knapplhütt’n into the idyllic Gumpental valley.

Once in Gumpental, a short detour to the Stanglalm is well worth it – the perfect place for a snack or a short break. The route then continues almost entirely flat to Gumpenberg, passing the renowned Hotel Höflehner. A steep, paved descent follows down to Ruperting, after which a relaxed final section takes you back to the starting point in Haus.

Note (valid for 2025):
