Bründlweg, Strallegg

In the middle of Joglland lies the sunny municipality of Strallegg at around 849m above sea level. From there, the Bründlweg trail leads to the adjoining R8 Feistritztal cycle path and the cozy Seehütte Töglhofer snack station.
The municipality of Strallegg has already received several awards for its beautiful floral decorations and can therefore also call itself a member of the Styrian Flower Route (www.blumenstrasse.at).

These and other bike tours become a special experience with an e-bike.E-bike rental in Strallegg: Gasthof Almblick, Feistritz 59, 8192 Strallegg, Tel.: +43 (0)3174/2223

From Vienna: via the A2 (towards Graz) to the Gleisdorf-West exit, follow the B54 to Weiz, then continue on the B72 towards Ratten, Strallegg

Detailed information on how to get here can be found here.
  • We start at the Gasthof Almblick
  • Here we borrow the e-bikes - making the tour a special experience
  • After approx. 1 kilometer we keep left and follow the asphalted municipal road towards Strallegg
  • Here we pass numerous wonderful viewpoints. At a sharp bend above the Strallegg village sign, we turn right onto the L 458 main road into the village of Strallegg and follow the main road until approx. 50 m after the Landring Lagerhaus petrol station
  • Here we turn right onto the municipal road “Bründlweg” and follow the route
  • Here, too, there are some wonderful viewpoints into the Feistritztal valley
  • After approx. 3.5 km we reach the B72 main road and turn left
  • Take extra care here, as this road is quite busy
  • After approx. 400 m we leave the B72 after the bridge over the Feistritz to the right and after a short distance we reach the R8 cycle path and keep left towards Birkfeld. Cycle along the flat R8 (the former route of the narrow-gauge railroad) to the 1st Feistritz reservoir and turn left to the Seehütte snack station
  • As the sloping path and the narrow bridge over the reservoir are also used by hikers, it is advisable to get off the e-bike briefly from the R8 until after the bridge (approx. 50 m) and after approx. 200 m we have reached our destination
  • We relax on the idyllic banks of the reservoir and fortify ourselves for the return journey
This tour can easily be combined with a ride along the R8 cycle path to Birkfeld and on to Miesenbach.
