Eduard Pichl the "King of the Pathfinder" opened the easiest route through the south face of the Dachstein, but one that should not be underestimated.

Tour dates:

  • Difficulty level: 2 to 3+ some places 4
  • Length and duration: 21 rope lengths with 900 meters of climbing, pure climbing time around 4-6 hours
  • Approach: 1.5-2 hours from the valley station of the Dachstein glacier cable car
