Surrounded by lush meadows and quiet forests on the high plateau of Ramsau am Dachstein, our farm Steinbauer, awarded with 3 flowers, is located in Ramsau-Vorberg.
From here you can enjoy a fantastic view of the mountains of the Schladminger Tauern and the imposing Dachstein massif.
The Steinbauer is the ideal starting point for hikes and climbing tours in summer, as well as for extensive times on the trails in winter. The warm hospitality and family atmosphere at Steinbauer will inspire you.
With us, you will stay in spacious and bright double, triple, or family rooms with balconies, from where you can gaze out into the gorgeous Ramsau mountain landscape. Most of our rooms have been newly renovated and invite you to relax in a cozy ambiance. We will pamper you with products from our own farm with a rich breakfast buffet and every evening, except Sundays in summer, with a hearty Styrian 3-course menu. Of course, we are happy to accommodate vegetarians and special diets.
At the Steinbauer farm, there is plenty to offer in every season. Especially for families and children, there is a lot to discover. Starting from the large playground with tower, slide, trampoline, sandbox, table tennis, etc., to our small garden house or go-karts, as well as some meadows to let off steam, play ball, or build snowmen. We also have a playroom and plenty of books, cards, and board games, as well as video and Wi-Fi in case the weather isn't so accommodating. Children and adults are also welcome to help with the daily barn chores and take care of our many animal residents, such as cats, rabbits, chickens, ducks, cows, calves, or pigs. Our 4 ponies and 2 Haflinger horses are looking forward to daily grooming. They can also be ridden at our on-site riding arena or along the surrounding riding trails. A special highlight, of course, is a horse-drawn sleigh or carriage ride with the head of the house personally. You see, there is really something offered for the whole family at Steinbauer.
Ramsau am Dachstein is known as an eldorado for Nordic sports. 220 kilometers of well-groomed trails await you right at your doorstep, and as a guest at Steinbauer, you can get trail tickets at discounted prices thanks to the Ramsauer Wintercard. Even pedestrians will find their happiness on the 70 kilometers of tracked winter hiking trails, and for skiers, the Rittisberg and the 4-Mountains ski swing offer a great area in immediate proximity to Steinbauer.
In summer, as a guest in Ramsau am Dachstein, you can enjoy wonderful hikes to rustic alpine huts, play, fun & action at the adventure mountain Rittisberg, or an adrenaline kick on one of the via ferratas at high altitude.
