The Hungry Heart started in 2016 as a small street food box in the Lendviertel. Behind the concept is Philipp Carstanjen, who with great dedication turned a one-man show into a permanent restaurant on Mariahilferstraße. It quickly became apparent that the idea was well received: freshly prepared street food with few but thoughtfully chosen dishes.

Today, a compact menu shapes the image of Hungry Heart. The offerings include burgers such as the Black Angus & Cheese Burger, the BBQ Pulled Pork Burger with coleslaw and mayo, the Chicken Caesar Burger with chicken breast and Parmesan, and the Roasted Carrot Burger with homemade carrot patty. The menu is rounded out by fries in various variations – classic, with cheese, garlic, or as a pulled pork version.

The location near Lendplatz connects the restaurant to a district that has long been known for its diversity. This way, Hungry Heart remains true to its original idea: street food right in the heart of Graz, reduced to the essentials.
