Art meets architecture: A place for contemporary works and visionary perspectives.

The Halle für Kunst Steiermark (Hall for Art) is located on the picturesque Burgring in the Stadtpark of Graz and showcases contemporary art from the region and the international scene. The exhibition building, constructed in the early 1950s, is one of the first White Cube architectures in Austria. Built on the ruins of war, it represents a new beginning and the promotion of art in a democratic society.

With a total of 670 m² of exhibition space and 1100 m² of usable area, the hall provides space for solo and group exhibitions, performances, and artist residencies. The curator team responds specifically to new forms of expression and socially relevant issues, while always keeping an eye on local art production.

The bright spaces effectively showcase the art. In the adjacent Stadtpark, visitors can take a moment to breathe and enjoy the surroundings after the tour.

Entry is free and the access points are barrier-free, making the hall open to all interested parties. Here, contemporary art is made tangible, discussions are stimulated, and modern architectural culture is experienced.
