More information

At the beginning, there is an asphalt road until it turns into a gravel road and leads into the Lurg. When you reach the end of the valley at the very back of the Lurg, a trail branches off; at first it only shortens the forest road, then it's really steep uphill. Up to the Pumperlhochalm (private) and through the Bärenloch to the former Heimmoseralm. Heimmoseralm 1420 m ~ current Radstadtmoaralm. The alpine meadow leads downhill and uphill again, you are on the Kl. Buchberg and should definitely hike along the alpine plateau to get to the top of the Buchberg 1563 m and up. On sunny days you have a wonderful distant view.

On the descent, with the same route, you have to hike back to the Heimmoseralm / Radstadtmoaralm and find the somewhat tricky terrain edge that leads through the Bärenloch. From the eh. From the former Heimmoseralm / Radstadtmoaralm you can see the Gr. Geiger to the right and the Lurghöhe to the left. Cross the Bärenloch to the Pumperlhochalm and return to the valley along the forest road in the Lurg. From there you continue to the starting point, first along the forest road and then a short stretch along the asphalt road.

As a circular tour, there is an option from the small Buchberg via the Gögalalm to the Goss and a further descent to the Eiblbächlein, along the Samml forest road.

Stop for refreshments: Zum Krug inn in Hinterwildalpen.
