Philharmonisches Bläseroktett – Wiener Philharmoniker im Kammermusiksaal

The Philharmonic Wind Octet will present fine chamber music on December 9, 2025, in the Chamber Music Hall of the Music Association Graz. Eight members of the Vienna Philharmonic will perform together and present a program that brings together three masterpieces of wind music. The evening will open with the Octet Partita in E-flat major by Johann Nepomuk Hummel, a work full of elegance and melodic lightness. This will be followed by Ludwig van Beethoven's Sextet in E-flat major op. 71, which showcases the composer's versatility with its lively themes and clear structures. The finale will feature Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's Serenade in C minor KV 388, also known as “Nachtmusique” – a piece that captivates with dramatic expression and a fine balance between the voices. The musicians will showcase their virtuosic technique and sense of timbre in this intimate setting. The historic Chamber Music Hall, with its special acoustics, accentuates the subtleties of the performance and fosters a close connection between the audience and the ensemble. An evening that makes the Graz experience region a meeting point for lovers of classical wind music – right in the heart of Styria.
