In the very heart of Graz, an impressive traveling exhibition takes place: “Doctors Without Borders up close”. From 26 September to 5 October 2025, Graz Main Square turns into a place of listening, learning, and reflection. The humanitarian organization presents a mobile exhibition space that illustrates how its teams work in crisis zones around the world.
Visitors step into realistically recreated settings that reflect the atmosphere of refugee camps and emergency clinics. Displayed are medical equipment, field pharmacies, water and sanitation systems, and everyday objects from missions in Africa, Asia, and Latin America. Former field workers share personal experiences and answer questions on-site. This makes it tangible under which conditions medical aid is provided and what challenges exist in disaster areas.
The exhibition is especially valuable for school groups, offering insights into global health issues and the importance of international solidarity. Admission is free and no registration is required.
For several days, Graz connects directly with the wider world of humanitarian aid – a powerful message of humanity in the heart of the Graz Region.
